TOM INCONTRERA

COACH & OWNER

Tom Incontrera is a Maryland native who relocated to Delaware in 2017 to pursue a healthier lifestyle. He grew up playing every sport he could but fell in love with lacrosse and received a scholarship to play after high school. Throughout this time developing as an athlete, he was in the gym working with trainers and coaches and soaking up the experiences. He continued to take training seriously after college and when he relocated to Delaware in 2017, he pursued a career in the fitness industry. Starting at a local public gym he began training adults and college and high school athletes while also starting up his own lacrosse training business. In 2019 he opened up his first small studio in Rehoboth Beach, DE called “Icon Strength and Conditioning.” There he was named Coastal Style Magazine’s Best Personal Trainer in Sussex County in 2019 and 2020. In 2022 his lease changed hands and he lost his space. But, he continued to pursue his passion for helping people lead healthier and happier lives, training in local gyms before ultimately deciding to open back up under the name “Trident Training Club.” ​​Tom brings passion and energy to every training session, and truly wants every person he encounters to have the best quality of life possible. He’s committed to his members, constantly researching, learning, and applying new methods that will most benefit his members.

Kelsey Pogonyi

Coach

Kelsey graduated from DeSales University with a Bachelor’s degree in Sport and Exercise Physiology and a minor is Psychology. She is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and has a passion for helping athletes train to reach their full potential.

Kelsey played many sports growing up, and started working with a trainer through middle school and high school to supplement her sport performance. This is where her passion for sport performance training began. She started dedicating her time and focus towards lacrosse and eventually went on the play Division 3 lacrosse in college, playing for a total of 14 years throughout her life.

Kelsey has worked as a personal trainer since August of 2023, and spent time at the University of Delaware working in their Strength and Conditioning Department, working mainly with baseball, track and field throwers, women’s rowing, and women’s lacrosse. Her goal for all of her clients and athletes is to help them reach their goals on and off the field.
